farting is merely a symptom of unoptimized nutrition and/or bowel movement hygiene.

I came home from work one morning after working nights, and I was sat on the back step smoking a joint.

The upstairs window was open and I heard an almighty fart coming from my friends bedroom.

I couldn't sleep all day for laughing.

I told him that if I heard it from the back yard then next door must have heard it from their bedroom window.

Per my gastroenterologist the average person passes gas 10-12 times per day.

Beyond that, as has been said before, things can be managed by changes in diet, eating habits, and a few lifestyle changes.

It has been my experience that the older one gets the harder it becomes to tell the wet ones from the dry ones.

There's nothing wrong with farting, but some people need raking out.

The one lifestyle change I can best recall is to go for a leisurely stroll for about 20 minutes after eating. Standing helps elongate the digestive tract, which I guess helps things as well as give any air that was swallowed during eating/drinking a better chance to escape via a belch as opposed to the other end.

Some others that might be considered drinking habits are avoiding carbonated beverages and drinking in a manner that causes greater swallowing of air, such as drinking fountains, drinking from bottles, and avoiding drinking straws. (What I took from that is that drinking carbonated beverages directly from containers such as bottles and cans might be ill-advised.)

Others I can't recall - I saw the list many years ago.

thank you :) I will have to remember that. btw, if you've ever wondered about BEANO it merely makes the gas sweeter smelling in my experience.
