I would rather we followed the Japanese model.

I've changed my clocks ahead this morning and it feels like I've lost an hour. Time has been going very quickly for me today.

during my working years I can't count the number of times I mistakenly sprang backwards and fell forwards. it would make me so angry that I came into work 2 hours early, I'd speed like a demon back home and literally fly back into bed, only thing is it is impossible to sleep angry. damn it. :x

Changed mine before Sunday morning; and now we're all good.

I despise time change - I only keep time on two clocks and one watch - but now that we live in this crappy modern age changing clocks has gone from pulling a stem and moving an hour or just moving the hand into a REALLY MASSIVE chore with 20,000 steps all specialized and run by two stupid buttons that each perform 10,000 functions depending on exactly how you tweak them, one mistake and you have to start all over - make me want to crawl into a cave until it changes back and forget anyone ever existed

in japan they don't change the clocks but they do change the people's schedules.

That's a lot more rational in my opinion, as the changing of the clocks implies a form of self-deception; as if one can't decide for oneself how to save electricity in the summertime simply by going to bed a bit earlier.

The whole concept of dividing the day in 24 hours is of itself nothing more than a very convenient tool, but I dislike how it causes people to obsess over time (myself included).

Incidentally, the day before yesterday I was very surprised to see my computer's clock jump forward by an hour automatically. I thought to myself 'What?! Already? Why didn't I hear anything about this on the radio?' So I checked my time and date settings, and it turned out I had my time set to one of the US timezones, instead of Central European Time. I've since fixed it.
