I've always been afraid of going to sleep - I always thought that there may be things out there waiting for me to go to sleep so that they may take me. That is the reason why I sometimes cover my head with my sheets when i go to sleep- got nose bleeds because of that each day until my dad took me to the doctors  Those demony kids from "the passion of the christ" freaked me out. I thought they might come for me.

Same here. Its gotten a little better, since I learned that I have PTSD from childhood trauma, and started seeing a counselor for it. Still, there are nights when I am fearful and keep imagining that something might happen.

I'm not afraid so much as I sometimes feel it's this great waste of time. I guess you could say I'm afraid that I'm missing out on something. But in the end, when daylight comes, I can almost always sleep - unless I am going to be missing something.
