I've already named mine.

However, my first choices and my husbands first choices were very far apart. He favored crap like James Tiberius or Orion and I wanted something like Angelo or Maria Therese. We met in the middle with common names.

Your husband must be a Star Trek fan.

Yep. Big time trekkie. Also a Star Wars fan. He and my younger daughter both love that crap. I've never seen any Star Wars movie and I've only seen a few Star Trek episodes and that was only because we used to have one tv and he was watching it. It was before the internet. I can't stand Sci Fi except for Highlander. I do love HLTS and the first movie.

There was no way I was doing that to my kid, naming him that lol.

Did you by chance get the name Shayla from the Blondie song of the same name? I remember loving that song way back when, when that album came out.

"Shayla, works in a factory, she isn't history, she's just a number......"

My daughter is called "Evangeline Serendipity Pancakes", My fiance didn't know what serendipity meant so i told her the literal dictionary definition "Fortunate happenstance" I've not yet revealed to her its a word play on "getting lucky" lol.

Also i love Pancakes and my fiance got to choose the first name.

I'm never going to have children, but if I did, here are the names I like:

Leigh
Leif
Kai
Ziggy
Emil
Tilde
Serene
Sigrid

It's probably for the best that I don't have children because I'm sure they'd hate me for giving them those names.

There was a guy at my university called James T. Kirk. I never found out what the T stood for.
