Awesome song. Anyway, I voted "this poll is stupid" but I like cake better, although cherry pie and apple pie are great.

Depends. I like hot meat and potato pie, but I also like cake.

Pie. I love a really good cake, don't get me wrong. But a perfect flaky crisco crust is just so amazing. Forget the filler, it just lessens the experience - I make crust with cin & sugar. The only thing that compares is my shortbread.

I'd say ice cream if it was a choice. I'd have to go with cake, but only shortbread coffee cake with cinnamon frosting. I hate the texture of regular birthday cake.

BTW, cheesecake is pie - it has a crust it has filling it lacks baking powder. Pie. I mean:there are people out there who think Pluto isn' a planet fer G-d'ssakes!

I do like some cake. Although not much types of cake.
Example of cake I like: Ice cream cake
Example of cake I don't like: chocolate cake (it's too sweet)

I won't believe the heads of the scientific community if they tell me Pluto's not a planet, and by golly, I won't let some stuck-up chef tell me that a cheesecake is a pie!

Pluto is N..O..T a planet. It's an Oort cloud object.
1. It's orbit is highly dissimilar to other planets.
2. It has a composition similar to other Oort cloud objects.
3. It has a twin (Charon).

Similarly cheesecake is not a cake, it's also not a pie- it is a hybrid strongly leaning towards cake.
It has a crust (typical of pies).
It has layers (typical of cakes).
It is not primarily fruit (typical of cakes).

I voted cake, by the way, because cake is better.

I don't know! It's hard to decide! I like both cake and pie, it depends on which kinds though. I love cheesecake, and special kinds of cakes, but if you're talking about the traditional birthday cake then I probably like pie better because I really like fruit. But it's so hard to choose... I hate these kind of questions! lol, not really, but I'm just not good at making decisions when there isn't a clear answer in my mind...

It would seem my hypothesis is correct...

T-Rav - Pie has nothing to do with fruit, and everything to do with crust. 'Course, a graham-cracker crust ain't a REAL pie anyway.

Hmm, it seem that pie is a bit ahead so far in the poll with cake coming in second.

I don't know, I love cake, specially chocolate-custard cake. But, if you give me a cheese pie, you make me think . . . hmmmm . . . I don't know which is better, but I will choose cake
