Eating cats or dogs is "wrong"?

Back in my meat-eating days I would've liked to try cat or dog. I tended to be ultra curious and unusual gastronomic delights intrigued me.

Now that I'm a Jain I eschew all meat. I also pass on eating onions, potatoes and other root vegetables because to uproot them would kill the plant and I'm sworn to non-violence (ahimsa).
