It would be like the Twilight Zone if it turned out blank. :|

The moderation team is currently working on guides instructing people how to scroll down and not click on things.

(N.B.: that was a joke.)

I don't get the counting posts at all. I hate math. I have never been good at math. One summer I had to do math problems while camping out with my parents so I'd be more prepared for the next grade while the other kids went swimming or playing and didn't have to think even about school for over two months.

Yeah, I've posted a lot in the "Last thing you ate" forum but it would be boring to just say "I ate whatever" so I usually only post if it was something unusual or truly delicious that would be fun to describe.

Oh that is intriguing at the truest sense! It combines the math with the current age- both worlds of shear excitement and utter inspiration!

There's a "count to million" one which is counting all the way to 1000,000 by ones. That's easy as 123 but I personally think it's boring.

there needs to be a "how old were you in the past?" thread

Hahaha :D

I could fill up a page with that!

I'll pass on that and scroll down to the good stuff!

People have to get their post count up somehow.

"Counting by Fibrinocci numbers", or "by prime numbers" might be for the math inclined.

But "count to a billion by one" is for the math impaired , and for the-everything-else-impaired.

Its just brain dead 1-2-3. Nothing "mathematical" about it.

This is why much of the time I don't really spend a lot of time in the random discussion forum...I am kind of glad the majority of those posts are in that section though since then it leaves the others free for more meaningful discussion. I do find it kind of strange how posts like you describe get so much activity and its certainly not just here seems like that is the case on a lot of sites.

I also try to avoid posting more serious/meaningful threads in the random discussion section since it would likely be sent back five pages due to the 'whoever reaches the highest number wins' or something impossible like that lol.
