My plans were ruined.

Ereyesterday, it felt as though my maternal aunt was trying to put me on a guilt trip. It kisses me off when people do that as I have enough guilt as it is.

Today, I was in the city centre and I was about to go in the shopping centre because Marc asked him to get him some nicotine patches. But everyone had to wait to go in there because there was a vehicle in the way.

My mum ridiculing me for talking to my dog.

Seeing anything on TV where they replaced the word "Christmas" with "Holiday".
Holiday specials, holiday parades, holiday trees, holiday music. ARRRGH!! !

If you're offended by that one word, then you really have problems and are just pathetic.

But is it weird for me to be annoyed when I'm not really religious and celebrate for primarily secular reasons?

Maybe I will call it "Santa Day" from now on. :santa:

I feel a sore throat coming on just as our weather finally dries out and warms up a bit.

FWIW, lostonearth,
At our house our December 25th celebration is way more "Santa Day" than "Christmas" as we choose not to observe it as Christ's birthday. Still I don't get annoyed either if someone wishes me a "merry Christmas". I simply reply, "you, too", as that's the easiest for me to say. However the e-cards I send out online will say either "happy hollidays" or "seasons' greetings" due to the diversity of my acquaintances on the internet. So far no complaints, especially from overseas where XMAS is always "happy" and not "merry".

i washed both cars yesterday but i did not put them away and today i wake up to see the bloody wattle tree over the drive way has moulted more stuff onto them and the dew has made the yellow wattle s**t stick to the surfaces, and when the dew dried the cars were again dirty. not just "blast it off with a trigger hose nozzle" dirty, but "scotchbrite double sided acrylic sponge scrubbing" dirty. the tree remains however. i will not get it removed.

Sure do, I used to particularly hate the the accumulation of them on the windscreen, they would find all the crevices and cling.
As much as I enjoyed the scent and beauty, I am thankful that I no longer live near wattle trees.

I've got a head cold right now. It's not really bad, but my ears feel plugged up and sore. The funny thing is that I went to my doctor on Monday for a lingering ear infection, and he gave me ear drops and oral antibiotics for it. Then Tuesday evening I started feeling bad. I know the drops and pills are worthless for the cold but hopefully my ears won't be even more messed up after I get better.

Hope you feel better soon lostonearth35.

This is for yesterday, not today: At youth group we were playing this game where we had tape stuck to our backs with a word on it, and we had to guess what our word was. I happen to love this game, and I was excited to answer my best friend's guesses. But then one of the leaders started to talk to the whole group to explain the rules, which is something that stresses me out. I had to leave the group for a little while, and by the time I got back in my best friend already knew what word she had. So I had a meltdown. Life (sigh).

My mum annoyed me today. She wants me to be everything that I can't and don't wish to be. Normal and cisgendered. She also wants me to throw away my favourite faded pea green Kinks T-shirt because it has a paint stain on it. She comes as close to Rosanne Arnold as I do to okay....never mind.
