I do occasionally go to the Queensland Museum in Brisbane, but I've seen all the exhibits hundreds of times over. I went to a few museums in Canberra, where I got to see a thylacine pickled in formaldehyde (at the time, they weren't displaying Phar Lap's heart, as they were trying to move it so it could be sent to New Zealand. However, Phar Lap's pickled heart was too fragile, and they were going to have to put it back...). I heard recently some bugger made off with the thylacine. Howdya like that? I'd say the police sniffer dogs'd just have to follow the smell of formaldehyde....

I like museums.I'm within reach of those in Glasgow and Edinburgh and my local one in
Paisley is quite interesting (home of the paisley pattern). Anytime I'm in England I like
to visit museums connected with Roman Britain.

I love all museums, but like natural history the most. Or specialized ones like the National Museum of Health and Medicine - I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!

In our town we have a few, a tsunami museum that's small, and a local history museum. Have an awesome University planetarium that you just reminded me I need to go to...

I love museums. There's not a whole lot around, but there are a few. I want to go to the Bower's Museum, which is nearby. I also wouldn't mind going to the Museum of Natural History again. That one was awesome. Museums are best when there are dinosaur bones. Then I can easily lecture to people about the dinosaurs. My favorite museums were in San Diego.

I like museums. Mostly I like wandering through them on my own, because then I can leave when I get bored.

There's one near where I live, but it's twenty minutes drive away, and it's all about local history. I like history, but I've never been really that interested in local history. World history, yes. Natural history, yes. Local history, no.

That's what happens from living in a place that's so dedicated to nothing but tourism, I suppose.

I did visit the museum in Dunedin. That was interesting. But nothing that's popular where I live really requires two brain cells to rub together, which is a shame.

There's only been three museums I've liked. One was the Indiana State Museum (before they majorly revised it), one was the Indianapolis Children's Museum (until I felt too old for it), and one was this science museum in Houston. Oh, I just remembered there was also a museum I liked in Chicago, but I only went there once and I was eight...

I love to play in them.
Problem is, that I'm
too old to act the way
that I do - living in the
period from which the
artifacts have come.

I'd like to visit a Rock n Roll museum.

I like museums; but, don't know where any are in our area. I  the ones in Minnesota though.

The last time I went to London, I went to the British Museum (where the Elgin Marbles are kept), and to the Natural History Museum. In the latter, I was almost bouncing off the walls like a five-year-old because I was so excited to be there. I love dinosaurs, and all the dinosaur exhibits there just transported me right back to my childhood.

I'm surprised the friend I was with didn't just leave me to it - but fortunately, she's very understanding about such things :)
