I got a 10-cent Euro coin in change today (in Massachusetts) passing as a US penny.
We often get Canadian coins in change in New England, but I've never gotten a Euro coin before, and especially at a mismatched denomination like that.
(This may not quite fit under "Strange Coins of the World" but it certainly fits under strange local coins. What's the strangest item of currency you've ever come across in local circulation?)
