Usually I just go out shopping and get a gift or some birthday money from my parents, and then we go out for a nice dinner and of course we have birthday cake. If my birthday is on a weekday we usually have the celebration on the weekend before it. Even though I'm in my 40's I enjoy being spoiled on my special day. :)

My birthday is on Feb. 9th, so I don't get spoiled *that* much since it's not that long after Christmas. My mom's birthday is August 4th. But she and my dad won't be home because they're going up north to visit my uncle and his family. So it'll be a belated birthday gift I'll be getting her. I might make her a carrot birthday cake too. She likes carrot cake. :)

I prefer to be completely on my own, preferably up a mountain or something, and this is what I did for many years.
Ever since I got tricked into parenthood I do the family thing.

Happy birthday! My birthday coincides with one of the major annual meteor showers. We drive out into the rural areas until we find the darkest possible place. Then we lie on a blanket and watch and count the "shooting stars."

Cake for breakfast! :D
I usually just check everywhere if I have a new birthday message
And I celebrate it with my parents.

It just depends, sometimes my birthday is in the vacation and sometimes the vacation just ended and I have to celebrate it at college. Luckily this rarely happens, except for this year lol
