(Northern Europe would be good as well anyway)

Well, I've lived in New England before (that's what they call the northeast US), and, it just may be me, but I didn't see anything fascinating about it. Oh sure, it snowed a lot in the winter, as opposed to North Carolina, where you're lucky to even get a overnight flurry.

I love beans

What's the connection with beans? I love beans too, but they have beans plenty of places. Boston is nice to visit, but the traffic is awful and people are terrible drivers there, so I wouldn't want to live there.

I would live in Sweden.

It's ironic

One of Boston's nicknames is "Bean City"

Mi dispace per il apologetico(?), ma italiano e' un..... of my obsessions. sorry again. I'm terrible at it

Oh, non ti preoccupare (don't worry), scambierei volentieri il mio italiano col tuo inglese (I'd trade my Italian with your English if I could), l'inglese [e gli Stati Uniti] è una delle mie ossessioni (English [and USA] is one of my obsessions)

 I'm flattered. Hope you get to live in the states someday, if that's what you would like, I'm sure it's alot cooler if you haven't already spent your entire life here like me. I would love to move to Italy in the same way...at least then it would be very clear why people don't understand me

I understand some of your language, but not very well... I have to disect Italian 'mathematically' just like when I was growing up learning to deal with NT people--very slowly and awkwardly :) When I took my final exam for Italian class, my teacher was amazed at how well I pronounced some words, but quickly realized I didn't know my verbs or nouns very well at all :? I learned my pronunciation from Vale, although it still wasn't very good. She didn't expect me to go, "Eeeee..." (like Ehhhh, for english-only speakers) instead of "Ummmm..." like the rest of my class.

Have you heard of Mike D'Antoni? During a basketball game I watched last night the commentators were talking about how he is a b-ball legend in Italy, but I'm not sure how many people follow basketball over there.

Sorry to bore you about Italy when you were talking about the US, but I'm just curious. I won't bother you any more

Ideally, I'd want to live somewhere cool, quiet, liberal, secular, cat-friendly and hopefully with plenty of museums. That would be the perfect location for me. I'd be happy for the rest of my life if I could find somewhere like that.
EDIT: And by 'cool,' I mean temperature-wise. Somewhere relatively cold. :)

you just about described Switzerland
also it is close to Italy, France, Germany etc so you can go sightseeing across Europe very easily. It is very animal friendly and has lots of museums and old buildings, the temperature varies according to the altitude and the climate is very pleasant (I get respiratory infections all year round in UK but have not had one since living here)

Chenonceaux in France. The most beautiful place in the world. I was only there for six hours but I dream about it a lot.

Nova Scotia always looked quite scenic.

Also, if I ever felt homesick, England is in an almost straight line from there across the pond.

Yeah, Mike D'Antoni was a star here, playing and winning so many titles with Milan. He is probably the best playmaker in the history of Italian League. Then he also won some titles as a coach, playing the same up-tempo style as PHX. (BTW, I answered your post about PHX-SAN)

Our main sport is soccer  ... but b.ball is on the rise, followed by a more qualified audience. i LOVE B.ball ! !! BTW, the team of my city has finished the regular season in 1st place and tomorrow the playoffs begin ! !! !! I'm so excited (slightly off topic...)

On a spaceship with all of the resources I need, wandering around the solar system, or wherever I want to go.

I'd probably like to live in a small and very safe country with nice weather where it's a very quaint but quite classically liberal vision of Britain with nice things to go and see, ale to go and drink and a laid-back atmosphere.

Isn't it super hard to get Swiss citizenship? Even if you're born there, but your parents weren't?
