The irony is that all those creams and s**t make them look older lol. That or they get cancer.

I use olive oil, lotion, shampoo and conditioner for my beauty regimens. That's it. Sometimes I'll lather sea salt into soap for a facial scrub. I think I'm doing pretty good considering my mom was a model.

My makeup/hair routine is a whopping 5-10 minutes. Because I focus on health rather than loading my face up with crap I look like the same person with or without makeup.

All I would go with is some lipstick and mascara, and yes appearance does matter! (At least to me, but unless your an old person I could give you a makeover to feel really amazingly pretty! )

Are you saying old people cannot be pretty?

Maybe because Aspergers is thought to be an extreme male brain.

I would if I was female and have toyed with the idea throughout my teenage years but I am not transgender or a cross dresser nor would I want a monthly visit so I am happy as a male but outside of that, I like the idea of long hair along with a feminine body and clothes.

Yeah go ahead and judge that, I don't really care, I have flawed logic anyway.

I am probably more gender less then anything.

You don't have to be trans-gender or a cross dresser to wear make-up as a male or have long hair.

I have to agree with this. Even those of us on here that wear makeup and what not still seem to be tomboys or androgynous to some degree.

I use sunscreen in the summer,no sense in putting on any make up then it will just melt off if I'm outside.
I use moisturizer in the winter, the dry winter air gives me dry patches.Very seldom do I wear makeup, then not overboard. Its suppose to enhance features, not hide them under a layer of face paint.

Women do benefit from beauty regimens--they get treated better by "normal" women.
This is one of the issues with autism, we don't pick up on stuff like this which is obvious
to "normal" people because the disapproval is often given non-verbally.

How much it matters depends on who you hang out with. I actually overheard a newbie to where I work that she was downgrading her fashion because it didn't matter here.

A best selling book was written on the topic over 20 years ago and it hasn't gone away.

Looks and image does matter. I'm on the girly girl side as far as style and personality goes. I used not to be this way. The way I feel on the inside is how I am going to dress. Style often reflects personality.

Regardless of the autism stereotypes I'm going to continue with my UGG boots, skinny jeans, cute tops, eyeshadow, lip colors, mascara, face cream and jewelry. I also have a weakness for nail polish and high quality purses.

I don't wear much makeup, except for lipstick, when I'm going out.

I don't see a problem with it unless it's an unhealthy obsession that takes an excessive amount of time and resources due to either narcissism or some sort of inferiority complex.

When makeup is well done and subtle, it can greatly enhance someone's appearance. When it's too heavy and looks like clown makeup.. not so much.

This goes for both girls and guys. I know at least a couple, but probably more, guys that wear makeup regularly & when it's very subtle it truly does make them look better. It sort of gives them a slightly airbrushed/photoshopped look of supernatural perfection. Plus it's kinda cute. :P
