It's because she's black as well. People that don't like blacks are always complaining about how big we are, even though that's why their grandparents bought us in the first place. In my mind there is nothing "imposing" about someone's height. However society will find a way to spin anything into a negative.

They complain about that to your face?

If so, dang that's mean.

You'd be surprised. I'm baffled that I've never been jailed for disturbing the peace. I am the definition of mellow. People say the weirdest s**t to me on a day to day basis.

To answer your question though, they do not say it to my face. I am a 5'10", 180lb black woman. They tend to snicker and say it where I can hear them. Sometimes they bump into afterwards when leaving. People challenge my need for disability to my face more so than my race. A good example is when I was in Christian Day Care and the little popular blond girls waited until I was asleep to shove rubber bands up my nose. I had to go to the ER. Racism, and homophobia were very prominent in said day care. I had two events of public shaming due to my race there, one for being a tomboy.

One of the most beautiful women I've ever seen was black, had a shaved head, and was taller than I.

All she had to do was keep fit, be kind and smile when she said hello.

Fact is if I was living in the city she did I would have wanted to get to know her better.
