I never named my animals....my relationship with them is tactile and rarely verbal.Can't think of a reason for something to have a name unless you are going to use it to "call them".I didnt talk to them much,just liked to have them surround me when I was sleeping(as protection)and to touch and look at them and rub them on my face.

I love stuffed animals, but I resist as they are quite expensive here, even in thift stores.
I am terrible i stores though...as soon as I see any, I am picking them up and pressing them to my face.
I too seem to feel more for soft toys...and, oddly, movie and game characters...
