Crap...that just happened today in my office. Everyone else mysteriously disappeared, then I hear "Happy Birthday!" from the conference room. Does that mean...?

Or, someone accidentally gets called your name and responds, "You can call me (name), or you can call me (name), you can even call me (name), but please don't ever call me Kiki!

(Also a true story. This was recently said by someone who was reasonably friendly to me, so it really hurt. Up until then, I had thought of her as somewhat of an ally.)

Oh, I identify with almost every one of your posts!

When asked for "friend" references on an application, you can't think of a single person who wouldn't think it was odd that you chose them.

People call you 'no mates' and you’re more worried about going out of your room than actually not having friends

Also you won't eat in the cafeteria at school. you get all your junk once a week in the local shop. ah memories.

The unpopular people are usually the insecure ones who do stuff for attention. I worked wtih someone like that and everyone was nice to her face and always invited her to parties, the reason she was always invited wasn't because people liked her it was because she would do ANYTHING for attention, even humiliating herself.... :star:

I learned a long time ago not to care what other people thought of me. I've known people lik ethat too! When I heard the party going on, I kind of smiled and thought...cool I get the office to myself for fifteen minutes. I think people around me know I wouldn't want to go anyway. Social interaction is not my thing!
