Yes, and I have had the same Calligraphy set, since I was 13 y/o. Although, I rarely utilize it. Architectural lettering is the style I write in, for the most part...

I think I was about 13 when I got my first set , I would of said I gave it up in my late teens but my GF just said I was doing it when she met me ( my memory is awful )

If I understand you, correctly - that's lovely that you had still been doing calligraphy, from 13, into adulthood...

"Little Jackie Paper
Loved that rascal Puff,
And brought him string and sealing wax,
And other fancy stuff"

-Puff the Magic Dragon, by Peter Paul and Mary

I really like this song, in spite of its downer ending where Jackie grows up and Puff becomes so lonely he crawls into his cave and never comes back out, but what's so fancy about string and sealing wax, and what would a dragon want with such things anyway? :)

When I was at school it was the "in" thing to wet toilet paper with soap and water and throw it at the ceiling. The combination of soap and water with thin toilet paper made it stick up there. Not sure if it was "in" to throw wax up there though...

IMHO that is a lot less offensive than what kids did when I was in kindergarten, the older kids would pick their noses, rub it on us kindergarteners and yell "ISH!!" it would have been better If those older bullies woulda sealed their own noses with their nasal wax rather than assaulting us little ones with it.

Yuck! And this is coming from someone who tried to pick their best friend's nose in Year 2!
