Brainfreeze is quite normal when drinking something ice-cold too fast. I never knew it was something you grew out of.

I seem sensitive to brain-freeze, even when I drink slushies and other cold drinks slowly. Last week I bought a root beer/cream soda slushie, and I ended up waiting until it was 2/3rd-melted before drinking it so I would feel like an icicle had stabbed me in the forehead.

The funny thing is that even though it's called brain freeze, you brain can't really feel anything at all. :)

Like most people here, I do get brainfreeze when I drink slushies and similar drinks too fast.

Not often, and I don't think I've ever gotten it from ice cream, but occasionally from downing more than just a little cold drinks. Come to think of it, it might only have happened with really cold water.

Funnily, it never happened when I was a kid so I didn't grow out of it

I get brainfreeze, I used to get them eating ice cream. I get brainfreeze when I’m drinking something really cold.
