I don't have a picture of Rory (my pit bull/ lab mix) right now, but I'll find one and add it in :)

You named a dog Rory, and you're a Torchwood fan? Do you also like Doctor Who, by any chance?

Also, your other dogs look cute too.

YES! I'm a huge Whovian. Rory is named after the character. My cats are Clara and Ianto too and I have a fish named Madame Vastra :D

This is my Rory. He likes to sit on the couch like this.

Mine was billed as a pix/boxer mix but he definitely has more pit characteristics than boxer. The shelter (Humane Society) where I volunteer gave him to me. They are the ones that gave him his name, too. I'm kind of sold on pitbulls or pit mixes since they are one of the breeds we have a hard time adopting out. We had one pit mix that it took 14 months to adopt out.

I like dogs, not sure if I'd want a dog myself but I still like them.

Here is a picture of my dads dog:

Hes a blonde German Shepard, perhaps somewhat of a mix but hard to say the dog was wandering around where my dad was staying in California for a while and ended up just sort of coming up to him, and my dad took him on. But yeah some people have guessed other dog breeds but I looked up that there are blond haired German Shepards as opposed to the typical grey and black or dark brown coloring and all his other features match up to the German Shepard aside from usually they aren't so light colored.

I love dogs too... my shihtzu is getting older but is still full of fun... every morning she wakes up and behaves like a clown, sitting on my chest snorting and trying to lick my face.

She was given to me after she had a few litters, I think one of the nicest feelings I had was when I collected her from the vets after getting her spayed.

Walks are great too and for a wee dog she's fast paced for a few miles, but kinda territorial when we are out, I think if she were human she would be a land grabbing dictator.
She sleeps as much as a cat and has a kong small squeaky ball addiction that I may or may not be enabling... don't care... love to see her happy :D

I love Shihtzus!! They look like little Star Wars Ewoks!! I have a secret love of toy breeds... If I didn't have a hunting breed like a greyhound I'd probably get a small dog too. Greyhounds have a strong urge to chase small things - a strong prey-drive. There is a risk that my greyhound would mistake a small dog for a rabbit and try to eat it. :(

My dogs lived happily with all of our cats. My Siamese, Samantha, hated other cats but loved all of my dogs.

I can well believe it... A few years ago I met a stray/abandoned greyhound when I was out walking the dogs, she was out hunting for food for her litter (The den was in a large briar thicket in a common area)... Yup she looked at my two fluff balls like they were dinner!
Its unfortunate the way sport dogs are treated if they have limited potential to make money, I believe her and the litter were eventually rescued by the Greyhound rescue association, after many unsuccessful attempts by the dog warden. Neve is a beaut btw, its great that she found a good home :)

Dog racing is a ridiculous sport. They chase a mechanical rabbit around a track.

Reminds me of the stupidity and decadence of Roman sport.
