free universal healthcare 100%

our societies are f****d up enough. forget space - too many people fall through without support nets to catch them. it makes me sad.

truly - space can wait - the rich should focus on helping the poor help themselves / set up support systems. also less inequality.

From the list: Better recycling system for waste

if I could pick: very strict laws protecting animals, be they pets, domestic, wild or in sanctuaries or zoos or anywhere else.
The law would cover abuse, neglect and poaching, and there would never be legal hunts of endangered species

and kids would be taught about animals in school, as in the importance of eco systems and niche species and how to act around animals, pets and wild, and how to read their signals

My elaboration on how I would fix the education system:

1. No more standardized tests!! !

2. Curricula geared toward the workforce or higher education, emphasizing skills and thinking that one would find in certain professions. Assignments, particularly in the STEM classes, would have themes based on a given profession. For example, all math problems in one assignment would involve the medical field, another would involve engineering, etc. All classes would provide and teach relevant study tactics.

3. We should rethink some of these zero-tolerance policies. There are zillions of things worse than an ID not on a lanyard.

4. Better alumni outreach, assisting them with employment, career planning, etc.

5. Better teacher funding. If you have the funds to build shiny new football stadiums (looking at you, Allen ISD), then you can definitely finance your educators' classroom needs.

In the US, I would begin a campaign (pardon the pun) to get rid of the Electoral College.
