answers given by responders cluster at the (a)front end (first or second), (b)middle (23rd), and (c) back end (45/46).

With the front end evenly divided between "first" and "second" places.

I musta misunderstood the word "Overtakes". I thought overtaking the 2nd place runner meant he passed him/her which means the runner this thread is about would of came in 1st. The post had unnecessary information which was designed to confuse/fool/trick us.
