Oh, wow. "Yes, officer, I'm on the way for essentials at the grocery store... yes, it's the looooong way --- oh, and here's my card about ASD in case I start to behave unexpectedly b/c right now I am really scared and I just wanted to relax..." Actually, here in Colorado USA we are allowed outside for exercise and to drive to get there --- we drove 40 min to the foothills recently. In my husband's native country folks aren't allowed outside except for groceries or banking. That latter must be more similar to yours.

I hope that you find a new #1 that works (just as well or maybe even better than your old one!).

Finally showered today, couldn't remember the last time I did but I didn't stink (I still do things like wear deodorant and change clothes even when I don't shower, and I don't sweat very much) and couldn't go out in public for people to see my badly-in-need-of-a-wash hair, so it was something that got pushed to the back of my mind for a while. Only going out to walk the dog, but that's what I ordinarily do anyway. I don't have a job and don't make grocery runs (I still live with my parents, my mom does the grocery shopping - though right now she's keeping it to a minimum). I live in a suburban area and outside there are still children screaming, lawn machinery running, dogs barking, cars driving by, and I encounter just as many people as ever when walking my dog, so things really don't seem that different to me except that we don't occasionally go out to eat and my mom can't always get everything I want from the grocery store because they're sold out of a lot of things. I am, though, logging some serious hours on my Pokemon game.

Sorry to hear that, you can always PM me if you need to talk to someone.

Thanks. I usually de-stress by going for long relaxing countryside drives in the car with my Mum. After that I am de-stressed. We can't do that at the moment.
It is not exactly that I need it but the thought that it is not available makes me internally panic now and then.

Oh dear, I feel for you. Hope you find some other way to distract yourself. I'm picturing you getting out the train sets. Gardening has been my outlet, very calming, us country folks are lucky in that respect.

I was clearing the pond today. I did a little yesterday but stopped when I felt a partial shutdown coming on. Grr! Not easy shutting down when the pet ducks start nibbling around my neck! Silly things!

I don't have an ASD card as I have not been diagnosed, so I am not sure I could get away with an excuse like that. :P

The good thing is we live in a semi isolated area. We have a garden so I can walk around the fields and there are plenty of things to get on with...

I am ok... :)

And if I needed to, living here I could easily go for a walk and not meet another person...

I've been taking Max on walks around Beverly Hills. Rodeo Dr. is completely empty. It's really freaky.

Cabin Fever not too bad. As I walk outside and I am 1/2 mile from the nearest human being (except for my wife). So social distancing is built into where I live. But it is driving my wife absolutely crazy because she is an extreme NT extrovert. And the endless news about the coronavirus doesn't help either. I have found taking her for long drives helps her unwind. The way I figure it is that so long as one remains in the vehicle, one is practicing safe social distancing. It is a protective cocoon.

When I drive, I am a little bit more meticulous about driving the speed limit. This is to avoid being pulled over and receiving a ticket. Not that I am worried. My last ticket must have been over 30 years ago. But because there are less cars on the road, I become a bigger target. And then I think about if I get pulled over, do I put on my N95 face mask as the policeman comes up to the vehicle window? Will that make me look like a criminal? Will he call for backup? It is interesting the "What if's that constantly flow through an Aspie mind!"

Officer, I am just going to the grocery store to pick up some supplies? What! Did I have to travel to another state to get groceries? Why yes officer, I find some things just a little harder to find. Like marshmellow peeps. They stopped manufacturing them due to the coronavirus. I can't live without them. And besides the price of gasoline is so cheap right now, it is an absolute bargain price. You know this coronavirus is stressing me out. I think I need to go on an ocean cruise as soon as this thing is over with. I need some down time.

I am concerned that the moment that this is all over soo many pwople will be crowding the roads and various places, that I will not be able to go anywhere. Uhmmm.

Something I believe that is likely to happen is that many transport and other businesses will have gone.

I would say that most people turn to liberosis to cope with things. I find it can be difficult to do but I do tend to try and block things out if I can, but it does not always work. Calm down MG. :D

There's absolutely no change to my life except that I'm cleaning more, and I miss my bf.

By the very nature of AS/HFA (where being a private person is natural, & currently helpful), I've (at times) found it challenging to adjust to the current circumstances.

My learned resourcefulness is helping-out e.g, re-purposing old-ideas/old-items, curbing visits to the store (to further boost social distancing).
