I just reckon our "Wrong" Planet must have its own measurements of hours, days, months, years etc... it might even be that our sun rises in the west and sets in the East! We are only limited by our imaginations in this regard.... let's imagine a topsy turvy planet where North is South and South is North...
That said, 14 years is a great milestone on any planet!

Perhaps our ice continent is the equator, and the ‘poles’ are actually our hot zones!
