Granted I haven’t had (and never will voluntarily have) any kids and have only worn makeup on the very rare occasions that my mom forced me to (such as choir concerts in middle school), and I still have skin problems, but I’m 28 and still get regularly asked what grade I’m in (uhh, I graduated college seven years or so ago  ).

Also make up tends to age women. I have noticed that the few women who do not bother wearing make up do tend to age better looks wize, then the ones who use it regularly. I do not know why this is.
My Mum hardly wore make up unless she felt she had to, and she is retired but she does not look it, so she can get people assume that she is able to do things for them as if she was a 50 year old so she can be taken advantage.

I was wondering about this too. When I wore heavy makeup at 14, everyone thought I was 20. Now I only wear moisturizer, foundation under my eyes and lip gloss. People think I’m 15.

When a friend asked a bunch of people to guess my age, everyone couldn’t believe I was 20 at the time!

This very interesting. People always are surprised by actual age. It is kinda nice but also annoying to be treated like a teenager. I don't look my age. The make up thing is interesting, my little sister looks a lot older then me and she wears makeup daily. I don't wear makeup unless I need to for some reason. It is messed up that make up is expected or required for certain things.

I'm 46 and I look like I'm in my late teens.

Am I the only one who finds it funny(ironic perhaps) that tween girls wear makeup to try & look older & adult women wear makeup to try & look younger :?:

When I was in my 40s, people thought I was in my mid 20s.
