i've never done that before.

usually i just eat one slice of bread at a time. crust first.

I only do that with heavily buttered toast, and I never eat the lower crust or the corners.

i really like taking toasted buttered bread, and putting the buttery crust portion in soup as well, better than without the butter, some kind of roux-like magic happens when i do this.

I like eating roux like most people eat cookie dough

that's correct, but Roux is. And actually there is more danger in raw flour than raw egg.

hmmm, had no idea about raw flour being dangerous. i remember a long time ago, my dad worked in the army mess hall as the mess sergeant, he was supervising a young dull-witted recruit, he caught the guy eating raw bread dough and told him that he would swell up and pop, which scared the hell out of the poor guy.

I do this. I hate the crust, so I just get it out of the way so that I can enjoy the middle of the sandwich. It's the same w/ anything that I eat that I don't like.
