This book would be a good thing to read in looking for answers to those questions,

Who Designed the Designer?: A Rediscovered Path to God’s Existence Paperback – April 30, 2015
by Michael Augros
...
Here is essential reading for all people who care about contemplating God, not exclusively as a best-explanation for the findings of science, but also as the surprising-yet-inevitable implication of our commonsense contact with reality. Augros harnesses such intellects as Plato, Aristotle, and Aquinas, ushering into the light a wealth of powerful inferences that have hitherto received little or no public exposure. The result is an easygoing yet extraordinary journey, beginning from the world as we all encounter it and ending in the divine mind.

I don't believe in God or any other deity. I'm not really religious and haven't been since I was 11.

I was raised a Jehovah’s Witness.

I am now an atheist and have been one for a number of years.

The work of Carl Sagan (especially “The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark”), Richard Dawkins (“The God Delusion”), anything by Bart Ehrman, and the Bible itself were all important components of my awakening process.

Believe in god? Nah, I don't. I think there's stuff out there we can't explain, but do I think there's some god up in the clouds looking down on us? Nope. Do I think we need to do x, y, or z to get into some paradise? Nope. I think it might be more accurate to say that I don't believe in religion, and I might be agnostic. I dunno. Ultimately, I don't believe in god/s like most religions present it/them. If it, they or whatever does exist, I'd be surprised, but hey, sometimes tornadoes put straws through trees so weirder things have happened.

I'm agnostic & am unsure. Perhaps what is defined as god is up to each individual person to decide for themselves. It was a common theme in the various Star Trek series to have energy like beings with very special powers that could be considered gods in a way. Weather those beings were actual gods or just very advanced alien beings is open for debate.

The God of the bible is literally in control of every thought and action we have, and created everything.
