Seriously?

We all get what you meant. In kidspeak 'lame' means 'ineffective' or boring or inane, or like that. But it originally meant that atleast one of your legs didnt work (like you had a fracture). And you had to hobble on crutches.
Maybe my SN shoulda been Patric Star because I'm living under a rock. I don't recall ever hearing Lame in that context.

Dumb used to mean mute. So if he was actually dumb in that context, he wouldn't have been able to sing.
