How would they even know that you were autistic?  It's impossible for any of us to explain their behavior since we weren't there to see it.
Valid points: Unless Jamesy somehow announces that he is autistic, no one will know that he is autistic; and because none of us was there to observe the alleged event, none of us is qualified to answer his question.

However, we can ask a few questions of our own . . .

@Jamesy,

Do you somehow 'telegraph' your autistic state through the way you walk, the way you talk, or by stimming in public?  Did you dress posh or like a chav?  Were you quiet and respectful or loud and demanding?  Did you stare at anyone (especially the pretty nurses)?  Did you respect other people's personal space?

These and other behaviors may give reason for others to pre-judge you at 'jab' centres and treat you rudely, just like they do in the pubs.

This is beside the fact that we are all taught to be kind toward the "Old Dears" around u s, even though some of us may ignore or forget such teaching.

People at the pub I go to are usually friendlier to me. I just dressed casually really and yes I have been told my Aspergers is obvious by my mannerisms before. Can I just mention that some other vaccine centres I go are friendlier than that particular one.

This observation I make is probably going to get this thread locked by cornflake but it’s usually the women who are rude.

MG, if those two Covid related scenarios happened here in the US I would chalk it up to the Covid policy confusion. I don't know how Covid policies were where your at but here in the US the CDC guidelines kept changing & some different areas had very different policies. There was lots of confusion over what the Covid polices were & what cases were exceptions.

There are LOTS of various horror stories in the US related to medical so-called professionals but I would NOT label that as rude & unfriendly behavior. I would consider it incompetence, arrogance, negligence, &/or covering up malpractice. I really wish the only problems I had in the US health care system were people being unfriendly & rude :tired:
