Pigs, yes, but cows would still be used for milk.

Do you really think random people would approach cows and milk them in the wild?

I have to wonder if some caveman once thought to himself, "I'm gonna pull on one of those dangly things and drink whatever comes out."

We humans are the only mammals that drink milk as adults and drink milk from another species. Yes, it is pretty strange that we drink milk.

Other animals just aren't smart enough to figure it out. :nerdy:

My pets eat grain-free carnivore diets. Who gives pets vegetarian?

Some vegans try to insist their carnivorous pets are vegans too, often with serious consequences for their pet.

Do Vegans breastfeed their babies?

I'm pretty sure they can justify that as consensual.

Well... the baby "consents" to being nursed...while animals dont consent to being slaughtered. But its not just the morality-its also the supposed health benefits.

I think that the question that Isabella is asking is...is human breast milk considered "diary"?
Must admit that I, for one, never thought about that before.

Unlike simple "vegetarians" vegans dont even eat diary (cheese is a no-no). And someone mentioned that some vegans and vegetarians dont even feed meat to their carnivorious species pets (ie dogs and cats). So can a Vegan mom breast feed?

Maybe such a mom would consider herself to be "free range". So...the milk she gives is somehow better? I dunno.

Yes, I meant is mothers' milk considered dairy and an animal product?

Vegans won't have milk from any other mammal, so why would humans be exempt?

Because the lactating person is consenting to their milk being taken from them.

Whereas livestock really can't consent to anything.

Also, conditions for dairy cows are often less than ideal.

Is consent part of the philosophy of Veganism?
I didn't know that!

Now I wanna watch the animated Charlotte's Web.
I went vegetarian for a while after seeing the real-life film.

I was a vegetarian from ages 15-24. I will probably become one again or a vegan at some point in the future, perhaps when my son is older.
