Update:
Juliette is feeling better enough to have sent a short note saying she had just found and ordered a couple things to be sent for my birthday. 
Said she's still having trouble writing much of anything.
But, hey, she's doing better than a week ago when powerful dizziness and exhaustion were knocking her down; this is progress toward recovery/healing, whatever pace it moves at, we'll take it!

Since we live on opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean, 4000 miles, 6400 km, apart, I'm not sure that would even be practical to try.
She's a good gal and fun to talk about all sorts of things with.
At this point in time it is difficult for her to write at all & that has been developing for a while.
To pin a number on it, one could say that 3 emails a month is a lot right now.

TBH, I dated a woman for almost a year and only actually met in person once. It was one of the best relationships that I've ever had with anybody. In retrospect, that may have meant something that I can't quite put my finger on...
So, just living 4k miles away doesn't necessarily mean that it couldn't have worked.

I wasn't saying to do it, I was pointing out that online only relationships can work.
