This is a council of seven, they're deciding what to eat after they're done preening. They're relatives of the Ryxi.

The Night's Dawn trilogy by Peter F Hamilton. Gritty, uncompromising Science Fiction in its purest form.

From an early age I have fantasized about colonizing Mars:

I had figured myself to be a Martian at about age 8 one of my role models then was Husky in "Space Patrol" (1960's marionette series if anyone can remember it)

I know a guy in MIT who did a report on terraforming Mars. I asked him about it and he told me it wouldn't work for a number of reasons, namely the lack of a magnetic field and tectonic activity.

The tropical Moon of Thetis. See my avatar? I want to live there. Not the planet, but the place you view the planet from with the beach.

Since Earth is the wrong planet for us, which planet is right for us?

Just list which planet(s) you like the most, what you would do for a colony there, why you like the planet, etcetera. You can have the planet be fictional or real.

I would like my own station on Pluto, have it be sort of a last supply station for ships leaving the solar system. Low gravity and a solid surface make it better than Neptune. Without competition I can charge high prices

I'll join you there.Maybe I should have made my username 'iamnotaplanet'
