My grandparents were all born 1910 - 1914.
They were all outstanding humans who survived much adversity.
They didn't fight WWII but their parents fought The Great War.

Some of my great-grandparents and one set of grandparents were born during that time period. From what I can gather, they were mostly unpleasant people. My one great-grandfather and grandfather were utter pieces of s**t. My grandmother who was born in 1918 was a good person, though. The women in my family suck at choosing husbands.

Of course, I'm sure, as with any time period, most of the people were decent. The greatest generation in my family in known history so far seems to be Millennials. We don't abuse our children. Yay us!

My adopted Father ( Great-Uncle) served during WW2.He was at Attu .Master Sargent US Army.
He was a great man and a hero.He will always be my hero.
Another Uncle was in WW1.He lived to be 98 so my kids got to know him before he passed.
