What did you win then?
I enjoy my book win (I hope I’ll ever have a chance to put my hands on it, Polish postal workers are a bunch of f*****g thieves :x ) not only for the sake of the win itself but also because winning in said contest depended on your knowledge: there was a short story larded with references to Stephen King’s works and your task was to detect them all. I got the first place for which I have a set of 4 books.

I counted everything I won this year (since April). That’s really not that much in comparison with many other people from the contest forum I am on. And that's all I got:

-5 novels
-a shopping bag
-3 sets of cosmetics
-a metal “soap” using which you can remove “kitchen odors” like this of a garlic or an onion from your hands and various office materials I won once in our forum’s private contest – one thread is devoted to contests organized by the posters (this one was generous, lol, when I organize a contest in there, my prize is always a code from under a bottle cap)
-a key ring
-a computer game for kids
-a bottle of Akutol – that’s something like a “bandage in spray”
-a set of 3 garden lamps
-4 baby hand bands with the UV rays detector
- a thermometer
-10 zlotys supercharge for my mobile phone
-a set of sensitive teeth gels and mouthwashes
-coffee in a can
-3 teaspoons
-DVD with 4 episodes of the X-Files
-a kitchen apron
-3 CD’s
-ESET Smart Security 4 antivirus
-voucher for buying a pillow in an online store

:D

I entered the Nickelodeon SpongeBob SuperFan competition during the summer, unfortunately I didn't win, nor did I make it into the top 5.

Out of a sudden – a fit of unexpectedly good luck that hit me in the last three days: the day before yesterday – a kitchen glove (adorned with Coca Cola logo), yesterday – two movies (which in turn today I managed to exchange with someone for toilet water, a shampoo, body milk, shower gel and a bottle of shower peeling) and a book, today – a case, perfect to keep various trinkets in it, http://www.wawel.com.pl/karmelki/ - it’s the one at the very bottom. :D

Maybe I’ll be able to exchange them for an IPod or something just as cool with one woman from our contest forum. :D

Once, when I was on a summer camp, I entered a poetry public contest organized specially for campers. (To be more precise, I don’t remember whether it was a poetry contest per se or just a talent contest where you could sing a song, tell jokes or whatever). For my poem, I won a booklet about the town I was spending holidays in then and two cassettes with poetry of famous poets from my country.

My 2010 AD booty so far: two identical sets of cosmetics, a toaster and twice... well, SOMETHING, that's all I can say for sure what it is - it's either a novel, a flask or a T-shirt but I'll know for sure when I go to the post office next week. I do hope these are a flask and a book.

Somehow I lost my heart for contests recently. But I'm going to start entering contests again. It's such a practical obsession to have; you get stuff for free.

I used to enter contests to win trips to London, England once a year. I think that I'll start doing that, again. :)
