You and I are the same age Kitlily. I wonder if you might have watched Breakdance (the movie) in the early 80’s and thought ‘I could do that!’ Haha!

I probably did watch it but I highly doubt I thought I could do it! I'm the least sporty and co-ordinated person in the world.

I remember my last party.
I was 7 years old.

It was carnival.
A classmate of mine dressed as a devil opened the door for me.

He was so happy and amazed that I had come.

So did the others at the party.

The difference was that I felt "out of place" and was dressed normally.

Besides I couldn't wait for it all to end.

Now that friend of mine is no longer here. He died young.

When I can I go to visit him in a not nice place.

He has a smiling face in the photo.

He was my friend for 5 years of school.

I don't even know what he died of and I accidentally saw his image while going to that place.

I felt terrible about it.

Parties: I understand your intention and it is an original idea.

But I'm not suitable.

I was often invited to the real ones.

Maybe because of my appearance: I remember there were two girls in the last time.
They chose who to bring.

One absolutely wanted me to go.

I didn't know how to say no.

And I didn't want to say yes and then not go.

*I am also uncoordinated in moving.

And I was so strange in what I did, it never affected my friendships (I was lucky), or my relationships.

For you these are nice things, I'm sorry, I would give you my opportunities and invitations in exchange

After a thread I'm selecting those to write to and others to never write again.

(useless, I write too long posts and I have already written the fundamental things)

I saw your nickname and Blitzkrieg's, that's why I responded.

I'm sorry your friend died, Huckleberry Finn. :(

Everyone, I'm not forcing you to come to an online party. It's just a bit of fun and a chance to be silly. God knows, we need silliness in this world right now.

I shall think of this thread as my invitation to people to come to an online party. So Huckleberry Finn has declined, and Dirk Gently and Blitzkrieg have accepted.

I wish people still sent invitations to parties and we could accept or decline. I used to love parties when I was little, they were real social events that all the neighbours came to. Happy days. No one has real parties anymore...

This is so tempting. If it were a physical in person Christmas party, I would at first be really tempted, but quickly freak out and not go. But a virtual online party, would be interesting. I would still have anxiety. I have anxiety just posting messages to threads.
So we shall see. I have high regards for so many of the people that post to the WrongPlanet. Those I don't have high regards for is generally because I have not read enough of their posts.

Tangentially related. Several weeks ago I was at the store and a woman was wearing a shirt that I REALLY liked, and I told her so. She didn't treat me like a freak.

It said -

Sorry I'm late.
I didn't want to come.

LOL
I still love it.

That doesn't mean I don't want to come. I just liked the shirt.

Could we start with a Halloween party?

The idea is original.

I find it cute and I understand that most people are not like me and will accept

Honestly: I'm always pleased to see people's happiness or joy.

*Your proposal is very beautiful

I'd be very interested in attending an online Christmas party on WP.

I'll be there with bells on, and I'll bake my grandmother's shortbread.

I have never eaten a rum ball and would love to try some.

Can somebody please bring some alcoholic punch? I have always wanted to try some. I'm not even too sure what it is but it's in lots of movies!

So would I. I usually just sit on my own in my flat and watch the odd bit of TV and have my seasonal Bisto roast chicken ready meal and maybe a few mince pies.
