It's as long as whatever I'm paying attention to is interesting or engaging.

My memory in terms of short term, working memory and memory recall, have all been measured significantly low on the Basic Memory Test, the test that usually measures memory in the elderly in Dementia cases. The memory scores from this prompted talks for a possible Severe ADHD assessment. Such memory has caused me issues in all areas of life that’s considered beyond an inconvenience, the memory issues means that I don’t do most things such as learning to drive, remembering people, obvious details and following rules and procedures in the work place. Psych has ruled out Dementia based on my age despite Dementia has turned up in a member of the family before the age of 50.

My memory varies a lot at least partly due to dyslexia & being an auditory learner. I can remember song lyrics, lots of details about video-games I played & shows I've watched decades later. However I get dates, numbers, & names mixed up or don't remember them at all. Even thou I know the date by heart, I would not process when my birthday is coming up if other people wouldn't mention it to me. I can get directions like left & right mixed up. I can get confused about directions on how to perform more complicated tasks. I sometimes majorly s#ck at explaining things, especially by writing or typing/texting. Lots of various things I know how to do but I don't know how to explain it unless I explain while I'm performing the task. I remember the gist of various events & the order of things but I might not remember minor or exact details. Some people think I have a great memory & others think I have the memory of a stoner depending on the context.

My attention span is just horrible. When I was a kid I used to be able to watch a movie I liked several times. Now I'm lucky I can sit through a movie even once. I loved books and would often read them several times as a kid. Now I hardly read books at all. My ability to focus and enjoy anything has gotten worse and worse since I was a teenager in the late 80s, and it's given me a ton of frustration and anxiety. When you become an adult, all the fun and enjoyment gets sucked right out of you.

Anywhere between one minute and two weeks. Normally my attention gets pulled around very easily, but if I get interested in something, I may think about nothing else for days.
