I think you look good!

I didn't mean for this to be a downer thread where people feel bad about themselves and how they look. Most of us are not going to be Adonises or Aphrodites, but that's okay. I guess I'm more interested in how you feel about the way you look and how it has affected you. I'm hoping it's not all bad. Like I said in my OP, I think not being super pretty has served me well as I've gotten less unwanted attention.

I once got asked to be a hand model so I guess I have pretty hands.

It was for a cigarette company though so I said no.

According to my peers I was so ugly as a teenager that it was right to mock me with monkey chants. Image

You look very nice! I'm really sorry you had to put up with mean chants.

I don't think I look great at all. I know my mom calls me cute, but I've never seemed to be proud of my looks.

I'm not fat or short, exactly, but I do seem to have a body shape of a dwarf from Middle-earth.

I don't know what you mean? :| I may be good at swimming and some sports, but long-distance running, not so much.

^It's something Gimli says in The Two Towers when he's complaining about having to run long distance. "We dwarves are natural sprinters." Might only be in the movie, it's a long time since I read the book.

I don't break mirrors like Herman Munster; all in all I would say I'm pretty average

No one has ever called me pretty.

But I did exercises to straighten my back so I can sit and stand straight.
I wore braces for two years and had jaw surgery to fix my crooked teeth and overbite in my mid-20s.
I'm having an operation next month to fix my wandering left eye.

All kind of cosmetic actions to help myself look better.

Pity I'm about 40kgs overweight. Maybe I can do something about it in the future.

I'm overrated. Currently underweight but I'm working on it.

You know, it's funny sometimes because I have a sister who looks a lot like me. We're not twins, she's older by about six years. Despite this, I do get people saying 'Oh wow, you look beautiful in this picture!' and then it's a picture of my sister - 'Um, that's not me but I'll let her know'. I'm the taller one with brown eyes, that's how you tell us apart. Different nose shape as well. I get it though, we do look a lot alike.

We're going to need stats if there's a rating involved. :D
