Unsure what exactly is my earliest memory, i do know i started recording memories at 2 years of age, possibly earlier.

I remember standing in a crib as an infant or toddler, as my disheveled dad came to check on me, likely having just woken up, then seeing him walk to the restroom.

I also recall looking up at a ceiling mobile when lying on a baby changing table at a store, likely getting my diaper changed.

*Possible trigger warning :
3 cheers for surviving childhood.....not just writing this ,due to the fact that many Aspies DO NOT survive childhood
and I have personally witnessed these same close calls for myself and my little sister .But have know one Aspie that became victim of fratricide . That I witnessed at 3:00 am in the morning just a few years back .That boys father is in prison now. But the real criminal was the Nincompoop of a Grandmother, whom was aware that the boy and the father had issues. And thought to force them together , claiming gawd would heal their relationship . Both the boy and the father were living with her. And she felt obliged to insert herself into the circumstances . Inspite of others telling her not to. And the pair had no income, and the father was a jailbird, and a theif . The Father was attempting to recruit the boy
into his lifestyle...Just sad.. and the grandma and the father both were keenly aware of the boys Neurodiversity...
The Grandma was superior at manipulating people and police. She actually tried to get the father off in court.
And helped the the father look innocent and claim it was self defense . Even getting the sitting judge in the case removed from the bench ( reclusal) .When the homicide detective came to me , i described what I saw . He was a moron . I was never called to testify, ( i was the only eye witness)..never figured thst one out ? The grandma attempted to provide the father with a golf club , and even put a bruise on the fathers back . Claiming the boy attacked him with a golf club..So when the police came
Those things she provide would make the Father look innocent ( self defense). But I witnessed it from start to finish,
And the father had been screaming at the boy earlier which woke me up . Stabbed the boy 24 times . While hugging him tight so he could not escape. (Per court records) The grand daughter later informed me of the number of stabs . I was almost 75 ft away and across two threadbare worn down fences, when I saw this.

I'm not sure exactly which is earliest. I have a lot of memories of preschool--playing with a toy toilet plunger, a particular rug I liked, the sandbox with a whale statue, encountering a cloud of flies for the first time. I would've been 2 or 3.

My most clear memories from that time are: I would wake up every morning and run to the door and scream because I couldn't open it, but one day I found I could open it.
My mom told me it was time for me to stop wearing diapers and gave me my first pair of underwear.
My parents took me to see Obama speak and my diaper leaked into my pants, so they told me I'd have to watch the speech without pants. I didn't care.
I couldn't have been more than 2 for any of those.

I think I remember being scared of an iguana on vacation when I was just over 1, but my brain might've made that up after hearing the story a lot.

Some time around 4-7 years old. Beach huts at Pattaya like this.

Image My mum angling. I looked for seafood. Learnt to swim there. We went there when my dad had time off from working at the embassy. This was before the huge expansion to cater for American GIs.

It was a summer morning and I was in the dark laundry room of the house. The back door was open. My mum had the radio on and Shangri-la by The Kinks was on the radio. I was dancing to the song.

Sitting / laying in front of a old time Stereo console that was meant to appear as a piece of furniture in any house.
That had been set up in the backroom of the house. At about 5 yrs old.
Only sitting up to move the record needle back to the beginning of the same song ..over and over .....again. And might fall asleep doing this.Anywhere from 2-3 hours . Would mentally analyze the Lyrics and be smoothed by the melody .
Until my mind was peaceful. Periodically might try a new song or music piece. :D
