History... no. But the evening news--sure!

Wait, I take it back about history. I was in Central America during the NAFTA protests.

But the most exciting thing was when I saw a crane (as in, a mechanical lifting device--not a bird) totally collapse! And it wasn't just any crane, either. I was heading up the hill from the piers in Seattle after having spent the day at the aquarium and Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe. A crane was out in front of the Seattle Art Museum, lifting the Hammering Man sculpture into place. Suddenly it fell down right before my eyes! I was nine years old, and I thought that it must have been done on purpose, as I'd never before seen a human invention fail so dramatically!

Here is an article about it. The article says that the sculpture only fell from one foot off the ground, but that's not how I remember it.

Northridge Earthquake, when i was two almost three. We were right near the Epicenter, just a bit away. I can remember feeling terrified, and standing up in my crib screaming and screaming, and screaming. The shaking was horrendous. My mom came and got me, and then I don't remember much, except after, my bird's cage had been knocked off of this huge bird cage, and was on the floor and the TV too. and

I think it caused some major problems with me actually. :/

I live in the DC area and had to suffer through the DC Sniper crap. My wife was at the one location not an hour before with one of our kids. I passed by another just two hours before on my way to the airport. When I returned from that trip, a third incident had occurred and I got stuck in one of the dragnets.

I'm not sure if this was big or not, but back in June 2001 I was over in Ireland. Anyway, the north and southside apparently got into some sort of dispute when I was on a ferry to Wales. My mom and I hadn't heard about this right away, but a lot of other people sure had!

I shot JFK. I also witnessed Y2K, that's pretty much it.

I am a veteran of the Battle of Mount Werbert, from which our glorious emperor received his name.

Not much, but we were in Center Parcs at Elveden Forest in Suffolk when it burnt down.
The roof was all made of thin plastic, so it 'rained' the plastic bits. It kind of looked like seaweed.

I witnessed the destruction of Coco-Kentford Furthings when the volcano Mt Werbert exploded ala Krakatoa, which is why you wil not find Mt Werbert or Coco-Kentford furthings in any atlas.

I also was in the Ash Wednesday bushfires.
