Sounds like its probably a dodgy diet tbh. What is your protein/carb/fat ratio roughly?

Eating too much dried fruit can be bad because it swells up inside you, absorbing water - i suppose this might cause constipation?

Well get a couple of cardamom seeds and bash them let them brew in a cup of hot water and drink it. Seems to work.

I don’t think any of these diets where you just eat one thing are good. Anyway you don’t need to diet at all.

i agree with 0=true on this, you do not need to go on a diet.

but if you are going to take on more fibre, you may also need to up your water intake to help.

I like to keep at lower end of my weight range to be comfortable with myself.
I don't tend to drink water, other than in decaf coffee and tea. Might try that.
Cardamom seeds... I have heard of those. As long as they wont do the opposite of my current problem.

As to my fat/carb/energy/protein ratio etc, I have no idea at all.
I am maybe having about 20-30 grams of fat a day.
I know that much.
I am almost vegan in my diet as well which is another change.

Today so far, I have had a houmous and carrot sandwich, small pasta and tomato sauce and 2 biscuits. Usually instead of pasta I have one of those add water chinese noodle pot things...the spicy ones and steamed vegetables. Plus I have a load of fruit and fat free yoghurt. I assume I am getting protein somewhere there.

You're underweight, right? And you're on a diet? Sounds pretty daft and unneccessary, but still.

Fruit isn't as good as grain in terms of fibre, anyway. It's not meat that constipates, it's lack of fibre.

Is that just your opinion, or is it a fact? Because you were underweight before, I don't know about now.

Even before I wasn't underweight by charts.
I am 5'10 and about 140(10 st) so not underweight by any stretch of the imagination.

Weird, my memory was that you looked rather skinny and underweight back then. Perhaps you have more muscle than usual?

The opposite.
I was all muscle back then and exercised a hell of a lot and was about 6 ibs lighter.
Haven't been exercising hence have gotten fatter.

Well I am at the minimum BMI my height not to be underweight. It is not good to be there if you can help it. 10 st is fine. The point is you look thin. You might have denser bones.

Yes the cardamom thing is interesting, it can have quite dramatic effect on me, but not sure on others :D What do you mean not the opposite? You just want to loosen not s**t through a needle?

No you haven’t really got much protein in there as far as I can see. There is little in humus and pasta if it contains eggs but not much. If you are vegan you need to find good sources of protein. That is you number 1 priority or you could end up very weak.

Nut! (the eating variety, but those are very high in fat)
guess I need som soya or tofu or cheese.
I sometimes have an egg sandwich which helps.
My mother said not to have eggs too often as they are so high in cholesterol.
And yes, I think I have fairly heavy bones. I havent checked my weight anyway in months, I am guessing at it from my clothes size lol.
