Can anyone provide link to where to find the genuine ,top notch stuff? If I try it, I want the real McCoy.

Illegal in most countries since 1915. Check out the Degas Painting linked in my previous post
she really looks absent on absinthe.

I've never tried it, since it isn't readily available in the US. Most people I know who've had it, smuggeled it in in scope bottle from E.Europe. Anyway, I've always wanted to try it! :P

I recently saw an article (and forgot exactly where) that said that the USA lifted its ban on the stuff within the past couple of years and that it is becoming increasingly available here. It is already on the drink list at many trendy big-city bars and restaurants, too.

I don't know if I will try it anytime in the near-term future, though, as I am much more of a beer guy than a hard liquor guy.
