I don't know if WP's changed or I have but I am losing the will to post here :( I can't put my finger on it exactly, but the 'vibe' seems so different now to when I first joined, it seems less supportive, more combative (is that a word?) and I miss a lot of the members who don't post much now, or have left. Maybe there's a natural time limit for being here, a lot of members seem to leave after about a year, and I feel that my time here's about up too.

:(

It's not my board to change.

I know that but I was just wondering if there was anything you DON'T like about it.

Sorry, I just accepted this fact this past week.

Since joining I haven't liked the idea that the moderators (aside from one that I know of) hides the moderator title. That doesn't help members find & report problems, harassing threads, etc.

I also find it annoying that it takes so much work to find your own recent posts, most other boards have ready links. The only way I have been able to do so is to dig & find one of my old posts & go through my own profile. On a busy board it's hard to find one of your own posts. I don't always feel like posting just to find my profile. I think there should be a link in our entrance page.

This isn't like most boards online, it functions slightly different then the 'norm'.

That's one of the big things I don't like.

Yes- it would be really nice to see who the mods are all the time.

This would also show that mods had already seen (and, therefore, to some degree, deemed acceptable) the threads they post on- for those of us who don't know who all of them are.

That'd require some magic, eh?

But then none of us would be here, because by doing so you would be re-inventing/re-designing autism. That's equal to forcing a cure on others without asking them if they want it, isn't it? 8)

I would have less MYSQL error, less other errors, and a list of mods to contact if something goes wrong. I still don't understand this nonsense about them wanting to be anonymous. if you are a mod, you shouldn't be anonymous.

And also for said mods to be rained in.

A "report this post to the mods" function would be useful.

It's really got nothing to do with AS. More about proto-trolls, usually with a political bent, who're convinced that those with differing views are somehow less human than they are. It happens on other fora as well, but not quite as vociferously as some of the self-righteous folk here. And not everyone, mind you. Just several shocking examples.

If you are fed up with the place, try Zomg or Intensity...

Yes, I might do, probably not the Intensity one though. A bit too intense for me, lol. No, it's probably just a mood. Just feel I don't have much to say at the moment.

More RAM I guess... so that we can get the search engine back! We need to fix the "find all posts by so-and-so" feature too!
