Truthfully, I am more of an Easter candy person myself. I would never pass up chocolate bunnies.
Isn't it ironic that we celebrate Jesus' ascension into heaven with candy, and that we also celebrate a pagan-associated holiday with candy?

Easter is a Pagan holiday too. So is Christmas. When Constantine the Roman Dude (forgive me, it's late and I've been studying for a STAT exam half the day)was trying to convert all the Pagans to Christianity, he knew he couldn't break all their traditions and expect them to follow without issue. So, Roman Dude mingled the Pagan traditional celebrations into the Christian faith and voila! We have Christmas trees, wreaths, Easter bunnies (pagan fertility reference) and so on and so on. Christians didn't invent any of that stuff. Christmas is Yule, Easter is Ostre/Ostarra (sounds similar eh?) and so forth.
You can read a bit about them here:

My favorite candy is the mix you get in a trick or treat bag. I love picking out a Baby Ruth, then a pack of Twizzlers, followed by a Snickers. Oh yeah, I feel a candy bender coming on lol
