That's awesome! I went to a Star Trek convention once when I was younger. Fond memories.

I met Robert lewis of Guiding Light, he was at a SEARS opening.

I also met Elizabeth Edwards, I tried asking her apolitical question, but I think it ended up being gobbly-gook. And she was like "Yeah, ok, sure. Gotta run!"

I met paul douglas. Hes the local weatherman on channel 4.
My school had a day where parents came in and helped around the school, so he was cleaning off my table after I ate. I was a jerk to him and I felt bad about it afterwards.

I've met an author of children's books. I wouldn't call him famous though.

Brian Austin Green

L7 (was stood with them in a line up for reverse bungy jumping before a concert of theirs and my cousine asked " are you going to the l7 concert tonigh" to which they replied "we are l7" :D

Hilary Duff

Daniel Cook

The Kids of Degrassi (and way back in the day, degrassi Junior high folk, such as Spike and Joey)

Canadian R & B artist "George"

Herman's Hermits

My Darkest Days (drummer lived in my building)

And many other canadian band/artists, as I live within a little musical community with rehearsal studios on either side of me.

Oh and I know a fairly large and well known "Paranormalist" and well, famous in his own right...I suppose. Does a huge show called "carnival diablo"

I've met a ton of people from the x-files, I used to go to every convention I could & local film locations too. My brother in law has worked in a number of restaurants in socal & seen all sorts of celebs. Lance Henriksen & Harrison Ford are my two favourites that he's mentioned. My B&L was being treated badly by one of Lance Henriksen's dinner mates - Mr Henriksen apologized for the rude behavior & gave him a huge tip. He's a good guy.

Years ago, I worked in room service for a hotel. I met alot of sports people. In fact, the Giants and the Patriots used to stay at the hotel.

Here is a list of sports people I briefly met:

Joe DiMaggio (he hung out with the president of the chain. He looked so frail and old.)
Jimmy Connors (he stayed in one of the worst rooms and it smelt like feet!)
Robert Parish (he was really tall. His head almost touched the ceiling)
Laurence Taylor (a Giants legend who was a little creepy, asking me about the women in the bar)

My favorite story: I met Carl Palmer, the drummer from ELP. I love progressive rock. At the time, I heard he was forming a band with Robert Fripp. Here's our awful conversation:

"Hi, how's it going?"
He says nothing.
"This is cool. I love ELP."
Looks at me slightly annoyed and bewildered. Takes the check out of my hand.
"I heard you're getting a new band together with Robert Fripp." He was signing the check and looked up, really annoyed.
"My name is not Robert Fripp."
"Yea, I know...you're Carl Palmer...I was just asking if you're playing with Robert Fripp. You know, maybe you're joining King Crimson or something."
"No!! !" Then he threw the check at me.

I have met:

Charlie Adlard (comics artist)
Ian Churchill (comics artist)
Joe Casey (comics writer)
Jock (comics artist)
Andy Diggle (comics writer)
Chris Claremont (comics writer)
Pia Guera (comics artist)
Michael Madsen (actor - he played Mr Blonde in Reservoir Dogs)

All of these guys were awesome to talk to, but Michael Madsen still gave off an aura of "the security here isn't for my benefit". Seriously, I'm convinced that if he had wanted to, he could have flipped out and killed everyone around him, and nobody could have done anything about it... 8O

I once saw Ned Beatty briefly. He played Dan Connor's father on Roseanne and the assistant to Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor in the Superman movies.

When my family and me were in the capital for my sister's surgery, we saw a woman who is very famous in Mexico called Lin May (I don't know exactly what she do), but I don't like that woman.

On anime-cons I've only met dubbing actors, for example Mario Castañeda (he's the voice in spanish of the adult Goku in DBZ), and Enzo Fortuny (InuYasha's voice in spanish). Also I've met comic artists from Kaboom Studios and DibujArte (a magazine about how to draw).

Let's see...

I've met the bands All-4-One, Boyz II Men, and Night Ranger in the course of my job as a truck stop waitress. When I was a medical assistant, a former Portland police officer who does commentary on shows like COPS and World's Wildest Police Videos (I can't name names for confidentiality reasons) saw the doctor I worked for. I've delivered stuff to a member of the Portland Trail Blazers and he gave me a $40 tip. I met webcomic artists R.K. Milholland (Something Positive) and Aeire (Queen of Wands) at Japantown Anime Faire three years ago and got some really lovely sketches from them.

I've met and talked at length with two of my state's governors, both state senators, and a state representative while serving on my college's student government.

I've also had very nice email conversations with singer Lisa Loeb, and authors David Brin and Anne McCaffrey.

About 4 years ago, my parents ran into Rudy Giuliani while visiting NYC for my cousin's wedding. It was really funny, my cousin's wife had wanted to meet him for a really long time, but of course SHE had to work that day, so everyone EXCEPT her got to meet Rudy. She was so bummed!
