I've known people of both genders named Ariel.

If I have children...

Male:
Dmitry, Darius, Yury, Ari, or Leonidas.

Female:
Zandora, Anastasia, Fairuza, or Seraphina.

BTW, masculine or not, I think Ariel is a beautiful name for a boy or a girl.

I like the names Eleni and Regina, too. I really like Greek names.

I also like the WORST creative names! I'm so disappointed that I can't name my kids any of them!

Larsen Tekoa Bereg for a boy-- this one I CAN name my kid. :D

Larsen means "laurel or bay tree", Tekoa is an ancient Biblical place/civilization, Nagy Bereg is a place in Czechoslovakia.

Anatolcia Balcia for a girl-- Ana means "grace" or "God is gracious", Tola means priceless, Bala I don't even know but it sounds good together!

Celexa Larsie Arsine for a girl-- I'd call her Larsie. this is where I run into problems! Celexa is an anime character... pity it's also the name of an antidepressant drug! Larsie is a feminized version of Larsen (laurel or bay tree). Arsine: I don't even know what Arsenia means, but unfortunately it sounds like arse!

Corky Aniela Latrice for a girl-- I'd call her Aniela of course, or rather, Ana. Corky= cork ( :( ), Aniela angel-- this is okay-- but unluckily, Latrice sounds like latrine!

Larsen is a Danish surname. It derives from the boy's name Lars (from the same root as Lawrence), so it's "Lars' son". E.g. we have a popular singer in denmark named Kim Larsen.
I've never heard Larsen used as a first name, let alone Larsie as a girl's name... It seems a bit odd to me, but that's just a cultural difference I think.

I'm terrible with boys' names, but I've got a few girls' names that I like the look and sound of.

Aria
Cayla
Cayley
Eyrielle (pronounced Eerie-ell)
Leneya
Merin

Don't ask me where they come from, I'm not even sure some of them are real names :P

Well, I have one child (a son), and am really not planning on having any more; I'm not sure I trust my genes, what with autism and other mental problems runing rampant in my bloodline...

But, back when I was young and stupid and planned on having a large family, I'd settled on the practice of choosing middle names after someone who has inspired me in some way, along with uncommon but not too strange first names. My son's name is Wolfgang Tolkien. If I had a second son, I might have named him Vladamir Faraday. If I a girl, I might have named her Winter Sagan, or Violet Lovecraft. These latter ones are just off the cuff; in reality, I'd spend at least weeks compiling a list of suitable first and middle names, then organize them according to various characteristics (i.e. to they flow well, what do the initials spell), before making the ultimate selection.

My down the road neighbor has a son named Mustang; I think that's a terribly cool name.

Good fortune,

- Icarus is a cool name too...

Sahara or Cale (my kid out eventualy grow to hate me after finding out they were named after a character in a movie). But I really don't have to worry because I don't plan on having kids let alone getting married.

Well, it's such a gamble... If I thought they'd likely turn out like me, troubled but extremely gifted, I'd have less hesitation. But Wolf is somewhere in the range of LFA/MFA, not just AS; he's apparently very intelligent, but almost entirely unable to communicate; one of my fondest hopes is that he'll maybe someday get to some level of functionality like KingdomOfRats has achieved, or perhaps even Danielismyname, or other MFA+ folks hereabouts. But right now I'm faced with the prospect of having to care for him for the rest of my life, which is not something I begrudge him, but it is a burden.

Besides, it takes two to procreate, and I'm currently missing the other half of that equation.

Good fortune,

- Icarus's family line dead-ends in a dark forest…
