I smoked for a few years, stopped for a few and now the thought now of ever doing that again repulses me. WTF was i thinking? (no offense :D ) I do continue to smoke weed, but thats a different issue imo.

Occasionally ill smell some sorts of tobacco and think it smells nice & inviting, but its been so long now that its lost its drug associations & its just a pleasant smell - like incense/wood smoke etc.

Actually just a few days before i stopped smoking tobacco i looked at it under magnification (30X) - maybe you could try that?

Is smoking weed a good idea? When I used to, it made me loose all ambition.

It definately increases ambition for me, but my achievements dont increase at the same rate.

It can be a powerful anti-depressant, if used in a disciplined medical way. The strain and condition is probably important too. A very low dose in the morning makes me get out and do stuff on some days where otherwise id probably waste a whole day lost in inertia.

But overdoing it definately seems to slow a lot of people down. Ive been guilty of this many times, tbf i think this is what popular western 'drug culture' teaches us - chasing everything to excess.

I smoke occasionally - generally just one or two cigs a day if that. I know I could quit relatively easily since I've gone two weeks or so in the past wihout any. I just don't see it as a big deal at this level - if it was a pack a day like a lot of people then yes that would be a problem in my opinion, both of health and a drain on finances. I guess more than anything I just like the taste, same as why I drink a lot of coffee.

Is the medicine at all effective for those quitting smoking? I was told that Wellbutrin was not for one girl.

I found it easy to quit smoking. I've done it at least five times. The last time was several years ago. Now smoking doesn't appeal to me at all. I can't imagine starting again. Oddly, I find it impossible to quit drinking coffee in the morning.

I'm not addicted, but I smoke every now and then, I have lately made a pack last over a month. I'm not a quitter!
