Bathing is like drowning yourself in your own dirt...plus it consumes too much of the Earth's limited water supply.

Earth is 70% water on the surface, granted most of it is salt but just a little conservation, not even alot, and their can very easily be enough water for everybody on Earth. I am fortunate to sit on lake ontario, only 100 feet away from my home, nice fresh water, well... maby not so drinkable lots LOTS of mercury and other pollutants and the nuclear plant a few miles away pumps hot water into the lake. If humans figured out a way to clean up the global environment a little bit water would not be an issue, except maby in arid climates but even that can be deal with at a very high cost and in the short term.

I love showers, I have not had a bath since I was a kid, showers rock, winter and summer.

When I have routined days, ie working weeks, I shower at the same time each day, and it takes me exactly 20 minutes from going into the shower room to coming out again afterwards, everything done. I may possibly be slightly obsessive in my cleanliness.

Am have a bath [with shorts on] once a week on sunday, and have wash every day with boots baby wipes, water [especially when it's flowing down skin] is extremely painful and overloading but manage the one quick bath, sometimes am too overloaded to cope with it so end up having baby wipe wash instead.

I don't mind showers, they are necessary. I guess I just got used to them. I hardly take baths, but a good soak about once a year is OK. My son didn't like baths/showers until he got to be a teenager. My daughter who is 8, is just starting to like to take showers. Lots of young people would rather play their video games or whatever than to stop and 'get clean'. I mean really.

I'm attracted to the sound of running water so I enjoy showers. Though I don't shower as much as I should I always shower before I go out in public or know I'm going to be around people.

I shower; I don't like bathing in the same contaminants whether diluted or not.

What I like to do when I take a bath is leave the shower running while im sitting in the bathub and put a fan on me. The fan lightly blows the warm water from the shower on me while cooling me off at the same time... It feels good.

Reminds me of those days when the sun is out and it's sprinkling a little with a slight breeze.

It's the only way I can stand taking a bath and I rarely ever do it.

Showering is very cleansing, both physically and mentally. The hot water streaming down my body gets rid of all the day's dirt and the sound of the water calms relentless, internal chatter (at least for ten minutes or so).

Who likes having a bath or a shower - getting clean?

I know my sons will do anything to get out of a bath!

We live in Australia and it gets really hot. I love having a good bath!

Why do boys avoid baths???

Helen

i take a shower every other day... used to take one daily. but now that i need help in getting transferred into the tub and onto a shower bench it makes the logistics of taking a shower much more complex... i am unable to take baths and i dont really mind that because after a little while the water does not stay hot... i love taking extremely hot showers, oddly enough its not painful for me but when my mom sticks her hands in to help me wash up shes like ouch why so hot... guess its an autistic pain threshold thing... i never got any burns though i come out looking like a steamed lobster every time hehe

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

I agree. The idea of sitting in your own filth is kind of gross.

I don't have a bath tub at home anyway. I shower once daily. I don't really like it, it's just something that has to be done to keep clean and free from bad bacteria.
