  • An orchard and garden to pick food out of
  • textbooks that are written clearly
  • a library the size of Texas containing works in all languages and covering all appropriate subjects exhaustively
  • students get to make their own schedule
  • teachers are only for asking questions and should have a full staff of them each with a Ph.D in their own field
  • multiple places to study freely and without interruption
  • lots of plants and little singing birds
  • and lightly playing classical music in some places.

So the store with an adjoining cafe can be one place to eat, and it is to sell WrongPlanet parapharnalia and school clothing; there can also be a Chapters with an inner entrance from the school... or something. And an inner passageway to the city library, one that can be accessed only by Aspies going to and from the school.

There should be a wrongplanet.net mural on one wall.

We should have lots of pamphlets on AS, anxiety and depression as well.

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

Like the ones Brittany described? :)

Hmm, what else can the store sell? Tangle toys, books on AS, AS awareness or acceptance t-shirts with funny slogans on them, accessories like bracelets, earrings and blue and green nail polish and hair dye to match the school clothes...

Of course we will have a special orders department!

We should also have a school shrink who's really empathetic, who is both a psychiatrist ans a psychologist, and a good stock of antidepressants too, lol.

For decor, let's see... WrongPlanet curtains... with little aliens on them... blue and green chalk... blue and green lockers and bathroom stalls and doors... blue and green floor tiles, blue and green paint on the walls, blue grad gowns and caps, blue and green curtains in the auditorium, blue and green chairs and desks!

How about one of those? That can be an optional part of physical education! Bungee-jumping can also be done in that room!

Sure! Duh! Also, part of the PE class can be explaining why you have certain sensory needs that are different from others... if you bang your head because you need to relieve pressure, you explain that in your essay. After all, PE is supposed to increase the students' physical self-awareness!

Straps, list all the things that will be in the sensory room!

We should also have an obstacle course/playground! With tunnels, slides, swings, ladders, teps, stairs, catwalks, dumb waiter elevators, chutes, shafts, poles, bridges, nets, pools of water of varying depths and other stuff in close concentration!
