I have been told my writing is nice. I consider it rather plain, but at least it's legible.

Mine is a decidedly masculine messy scrawl...unless I am really motivated to write something...then it is slightly neater....I actually have several different handwritings. I also do alot of lettering....so I can write neatly if I am lettering something...though if I am just jotting down notes in a hurry, it can be practily illegible, like I don't have proper control over the pen, and I will reverse letters, or inadvertantly write too many letters and so on...

My handwriting is so bad that it is the sole reason I didn't become a math major. They don't let you type. :x

Oddly, I found that the godly systemization of strokes in Japanese made it (if I wrote r-e-a-l-l-y slowly) more easy to write well, even quite beautifully. I could spend hours writing kanji. Heck, I could spend hours just writing: I love that character :D

*shutters at handwriting*
I'm planning on using a typewriter of some sort in order to be able to read my notes better. Just have to find one...
It takes me forever to read my handwriting!

I've been told I write beautifuly, I'm also learning the art of caligraphy. It does feel good to write in my jounal by hand but then I get sore. Like ebec11, I get impatient writing by hand. It's much faster typing, but I'm paranoid about writing anything on the computer in case something were to happen. Not only that, but in journals I can tell if I was angry the time that I wrote an entry. I think handwriting also can express how one is feeling. I just like the art of writing.

I'm a slow typer, but it takes me longer to process my writing because it's so messy when I'm stressed (which is almost all the time)

I took a lot of classes in typing like Word, so it's helped in the speed of typing. They even have games for it.

Handwringing topic

When I had to write essay exams the words were scrawled. I always did well--I suppose the swirl of the cursive mess seemed somehow to indicate some sort of intelligence so the examiners would always give me good grades. My 8) letters are large and loopy, and fill up all the lines. The script style has not changed since I was ten years old. I suppose it is nice to know I am still me.

I've tried them, and it's somewhat improved. (I use four fingers instead of two :P), but it's not as fast as my writing still. But it makes more sense on a computer (it's not gibberish :P), so I think I'll have to use a typing thing of some sort in order to pass Science.

I can write pretty good if I try, but most of the time it's pretty sloppy.

My dad on the other hand had perfect handwriting. He wrote in all caps but it was really neat.

I have good handwriting. In school, other kids would accuse me of having typed things that were supposed to be handwritten. My handwriting was that uniform. I got sick of the attention and started writing more sloppily on purpose, but I think my handwriting's still above average. I like writing things by hand. It's like a craft.

this is really interesting!
I have never been able to write well.
I find forms a stressful experience and cannot recall the correct information to put on them.
When presented with the electronic version I can type and fill a form in with no difficulties.
I simply cannot write creatively or expressively onto paper with a pen, my brain goes dead and the act of writing is stressfull and eventually illegible.
I know that this is directly connected with my having AS and is to do with co-ordination.
My ability to spell is second to none and I can type fast and deliver expressive communications effectively whilst in front of the computer.
In fact having a computer is a godsend and I can express myself to the world faster and more fluently than I can talk!
This thread should be in the AS threads and not random discussion as I believe that AS affects handwriting.
