Actually, I think I'd rather live in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Maybe I could become a Space Marine and spout such charming, all-inclusive slogans as this:

ALL HAIL THE ALMIGHTY GOD-EMPEROR OF MANKIND! KILL THE MUTANT! BURN THE HERETIC! PURGE THE UNCLEAN!

Yeah, that's the stuff

In which world from a movie/novel/comic book would you like to live if you could? Recently I used to be fixated on several different worlds (so different from each other like Rice's "Vampire chronicles", the X-men, Sandman comics and Asimov's Solaria can differ) but now I think that if I were to make a choice, it would be Diaspar from Clarke's novel.

Solaria is an interesting choice for an Aspie. Very little social interaction... 8)

I should like to live in Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World", which has always seemed more of a eutopia than a dystopia to me.

Part of me would also like to be an Eloi (Morlocks notwithstanding). And I wouldn't mind visiting the home world of the aliens in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind".

I like the world of Gloriana (Quest for Glory); but I should get some considerable better fighting skills (my magic points should raise as well).

Being in a simpeler world would be nice. A place where I would get recognized a bit more, but also less difficult social rules.

But hey, real life awaits!

I would live in Elsewhere, which is a place in the book Elsewhere where you grow younger when you die. It would be a really nice place to be, as everything is about fullfillment, not money!

I'd luv to live in the 1920's and be a cabaret singer with all that jazz. I think I've posted this before.

I would live either in the world of pokemon, or in a land where I could be a black mage of the FF 1-5 fame. That, or I would be a F-ZERO racer, or definitly a traviling merchant traviling the worlds, selling my wares.

The Half-life universe.

But I'd make a quick detour to Jhonen Vasquez's JtHM universe to abduct a certain maniac, beforehand. But I wouldn't want to stay there too long. It's full of bastards. :eew:

And once we'd defeated the Combine Universal Union, we'd move to the Dinotopia universe and live in waterfall city. :D 8)

Now that I almost never get depressed anymore I would agree with Mist's first choice; the one I live in already; the one my head has me living in, with you lot and wp, and all the rest of the amazing infinite complex mess which it is difficult/impossible to ever get to the end/edges of.

There simply isn't another that even comes close to it.

But if i have to pick one imagined in a book or film: I think the world of quantum physics would be pretty good.

I would fit right at home in the Harry Potter Wizarding world, Lord of the Rings world, Northern Exposure town of Cicely AK, Anne Rice Vamp story & or somewhere in The X-Files tv show. I often pop from one to the other in imagination. It's great to learn I have something in common with a couple of you..

Well, at least you'd never have to leave it on charge overnight, I guess :)
