I have the ability to be the most likeable and popular person on WP, but thats not who I am. It would be false advertisement. I like to stick true to myself, and whatever happens, happens. :)

I say yes, but I don't care that much about popularity.

Some people are getting to know me and popularity is an illusion.

Being popular isn't always a good thing! If you have too many friends, you are less likely to be able to bond and share things with them. If you have a close circle of only a FEW friends, like me, it is much easier to communicate and bond.

I'm not that popular, but I couldn't care less.
I'd rather be unpopular and have better friends than the popular people!

:D

I have a few friends but thats all I really need haveing to many friends is a big hassle where you have to stay on everyones good side all the time.

Good point lol

I like my friends, they are only a handful of really close people but I have known them all for such a long time and there is a lot of history between us and many of the early arguments have been sorted out over the years.

I don't even know how you make friends on here. I know that there are people whose posts i often/invariably enjoy, appreciate, notice, respect, esteem, etc, ( and others whose posts i don't! ) , but I don't know how to handle the friend-by-pm thing.

In the eight months of activity on here I have sent about 25/30 pms, and received about the same, from/to at least a dozen/15 people too, so not the deepest of connections.

When I exchanged lots of pm's with a few people on another ( tho' non-AS ) site, it all got very complicated/confusing, and oppressive, and upsetting, so i'm very wary about establishing the kinds of contact which grow in pm country. It seems to very quickly get too intense and complicated for me to handle.

I would rather carry on freely enjoying whatever people post on forums, and discussing with them there. Less likelihood of unhealthy transference. Just get fixated on the site instead!
